1. Information the app handles
OurFilm processes the following information on your device to provide its features.
- Trip records: trip name, dates, roll length, and capture and reveal status
- Photos: archival JPEGs captured with the app camera and prepared for their intended aspect ratio and orientation
- App settings: choices such as whether to use an opening reminder
The app operator does not collect this information or send it to a separate server. The app has no account or account-sync feature.
2. Information we do not collect
OurFilm does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, location information, advertising identifiers, usage analytics, or diagnostic behavior records. We do not use third-party SDKs for advertising or user tracking.
3. Device permissions
- Camera: used to capture a photo when you leave a scene on the roll.
- Add Photos: used to add the result to Photos when you choose “Save Photo”. OurFilm does not request permission to browse or read your existing photo library.
- Notifications: used to schedule a general local reminder for the roll's opening time when you choose to receive one. Reminders do not include the trip name, dates, or photo contents.
You can change permissions at any time in iPhone Settings. Features that do not need a denied permission remain available.
4. Storage and deletion
Trip records and archival JPEGs of captured photos are stored in the iOS app container. Depending on your device settings, this information may be included in an encrypted system backup, which follows Apple's policies and your settings.
Deleting a trip in the app deletes that trip and its in-app photos. Deleting the app removes the app data that remains on the device. Copies saved to Photos, shared to another app, or included in an existing system backup cannot be deleted by OurFilm.
5. Saving and sharing
Saving photos or a trip film, general sharing, and handing content to Instagram Stories start only when you directly choose the relevant button. Processing after sharing is governed by the privacy policy of the app or service you choose. OurFilm does not separately receive or store content that you share.
6. Changes to this policy
If the app's features or information practices change, we will update this page and its effective date. We will communicate important changes through the app or its distribution page.
